I'm leaning toward it being as a result of pressure from the boardroom. They're all well aware that this is the endgame as it relates to their continued employment. The "save our jobs" campaign starts now but surely they're all intelligent enough to realise fan service isn't going to mean jack without significant share price appreciation.
We'll find out their desperation levels come next week. If this is indeed a nothing burger, curated and moderated attempt to show that they're still alive and 'working', it is going to backfire in a spectacular way.
