Honestly, I wish today's announcement hadn’t come out. I was still holding onto a sliver of hope that since we hadn’t seen any capital controls yet, it might have been a sign we were actually close to a deal. But now it feels like they’re trying to get ahead of what could be a pretty rough quarterly update.
As I mentioned in my earlier post, management wouldn’t be pulling back on spending or looking to offload non-core assets if a deal were imminent. Just a month ago, the caesium assets were front and centre; now Sirmac-Clapier is being labeled a "non-core asset" and possibly on the chopping block. It’s starting to feel like we’re circling the drain and management are getting nervous.
