I'm not sure that happens actually - it wouldn't be a reason to buy BGL from DVP point of view.
DVP does an excellent job at BGL and any new owner would be very wise to keep DVP on.
DVP know the mine - any new contractor doesn't. That's worth millions of $ on it's own.
Bill makes it clear he earns 10x more mining his own mines so he wouldn't cry too much if DVP weren't kept on.
DVP buys BGL using scrip and it's because it's an underperforming asset and Bill knows the asset inside and out now becasue DVP mines it !!
