From FMGs last report their OPEX is well north of $30 a tonne, somewhere close or above to $40 from memory, plus the ore is not 62% fe and is sold at a discount to the prime ores from Vale, BHP and RIO. Note sdl will produce 62% fe. FMG ore is somewher between 55%-58% fe.
not sure where people pull the $11 OPEX figure from.
Industry standard CAPEX is aprrox $100m per tonne of production, RIO is expanding in the pilbra at rates north of $100m p/t.
FMG have announced an expansion just recently, CAPEX is priced a fair bit less than $100m p/t from memory (without double checking) industy players BHP and RIO are questioning whether this can be done.
The post with the spreadsheet, although no doubt a lot of work has gone into it, it is mostly incorrect and of little value.
