A major step forward for the global clean ammonia industry. CF Industrieshas announced a joint venture with Japan’s JERA and Mitsui to build the world’s largest low-carbon ammonia plant in Louisiana. The $4 billion project will use autothermal reforming and CCS to sequester ~2.3Mt of CO₂ annually, with production expected to begin in 2029.
