If you keep on saying certain green energy forms aren't viable from an economic point of view, what price are you putting on our environment?
The whole point is to reduce climate gases through alternative energies, and if no one invests in these in the early stages, you'll never see any further developments.
ICE vehicles didn't start out as they are today; in their early forms they used to chuff out smoke everywhere. As large cities became overpolluted from photochemical smog, they introduced pollution laws that implemented different designs and engine controls to reduce what came out of the exhaust. It all came at a cost to the people who bought the vehicles, just like green energy will, but over the years with new developments, the costs will come down as they did with vehicles.
