Good summary of the known unknowns !
Trumps problem in this sphere ...is that he hasn't the manufacturing capabilities or capacity in the USA , to supply the urgent demands from critical metals , in this case rare earths and magnets .
Few are capable , big enough or advanced enough in the USA to provide SOME supply .
One coming on line near term , is E-VAC ( formerly Vacuumschelmze )

New manufactoring plant being built ...I have no idea where they are getting their "product "..but as I understand it , it processes the ready made magnetic material , into magnets !
I assume the magnetic boron strips coming out of ASM's Korean KMP fit that criteria , but that would be a good question to ask ASM .
Not thats this is posted here to tie the two companies together anyway.
Its just to highlight the point that the USA urgently needs to fill a supply void , where demand for Ex China product is so strong , coming from the USA, Europe and Japan in particular .
ASM , through its KMP , expanded KMP or replicated KMP , seems finally well placed to fill some of that void .
