MAY from what has been reported by MAY [not fairy tales as so often engulfs these threads], interesting to read your take on the reported work-over and as with all exploration [up-stream], much maybe open to debate. Like, if a PCP was run without any A-2 stim-ops or additional perfs, may the outcome have been the same ? ~488 bbls/d ... with a drilled & completed A-3 sitting there [suspension plugs? etc], may say a lot that no near-term stimulation looks to planned.

CTU / N2 lift / Acid / UBD/MPD / Art-Lift etc on these threads for
~18 months !! Also keeping a
CTU on-site may not be cost effective [maybe the reel?], with current drilling timetables. Introducing CTU also has many potential operational issues [stuck-pipe etc] as well as cost, though N2 lift may/may not greatly assist unloading lease wells and ~pin-point acid, CTU gives ops so many options from milling to N2 lift etc [coil size?]. Though to place any 'this will change everything' on CTU maybe misplaced should anyone grab onto that type of thinking. It maybe a whole load of money for maybe the same result or not ? It would be easy to post examples/scenarios with CT, but maybe that's for another post.

IMO, the method used to shut in the well - bullheading (see Slide 3) - forced the shut in fluids deeper into the formation that the reperforations, new perforations and acid squeeze / soak were able to penetrate. Thus, potentially limited, if any, virgin formation, unaffected by the shut in fluids, was accessed by the Workover?... LB11 comment - possibly, but I doubt this well may have been hard to kill. Also
MAY may have been fully aware of the break-away [infectivity] [BHP] and may also been fully aware if this was happening - volumes [?] ... [the 'long-way'?] ... if BH risks skin ... [LWD?]

The peak total fluid rate of 4,167 BPD achieved while surging the well implies a high reservoir pressure."... LB11 comment - [more well data req. imo] debatable and maybe very [very!] questionable if this may have been wise on this A-2 well imo. [~

surge' may also have been '
a charged' [super-charged] zone of interest maybe [from] from stimulation operations [tight?]. Opening-up like that may/may not hurt the well ... I've commented previously on '
charge' post-stimulation on these
MAY threads. If it was a HP reservoir, then imo some gradual build-up may have been seen on extended flow [pre-acid] and or on extended shut-in period and perhaps it was [A-3 quick build-up?], as again no well data. To maybe assume it's all permeability etc ? while possible, maybe a stretch imo. No gas-shows [?] ...

The surge flow rate, the original stabilized flow rate of 1,235bopd & the materially sub-optimal drilling & completion that this resulted from gives me hope for a materially higher from flow rate from subsequent Unit 1B wells assuming similar reservoir parameters.'... LB11 comment - it was an
'average' stablized flow-rate
@1235 bbls/d ... big difference ... ~1900 bbls/d until shut-in [~300 bbls/d?] ... so the actual oil metre reading chart of this entire flow-period maybe extremely interesting imo ... again need more well data imo. [maybe a near continual down-trend?]

Need an update from MAY on the capacity of the vessel for the first trial shipment of oil. AP has mentioned in the past the likelihood for a small 25,000 barrel shipment to be made to test transportation logistics etc. If a 25,000 barrel shipment was made then the first shipment could be in ~1 months time?... LB11 comment - no comment.

Drilling of Amistad-3 is commented on as being a contingent well. IMO, I think this is just management caution "speak" as I would not expect the JV to go ahead with the cost of Pad 9 if they felt their were any real risks of reservoir production issues as they step way from the tested Alameda-2 location....
