You think 2000m will be too expensive? How is it that fracced shale wells in the US can be up to 8000m long and they drill thousands of them ranging from 4000m to 8000m. I read that provided the oil price is above USD 70 / bbl an unconventional well can be classed as economic. Fortunately in Eastern Australia the gas price is favourable.
