Our laboratory company, MSALABS, is the global leader in the adoption of #PhotonAssay™ technology and a pioneer in bringing the technology to mining regions globally. March marked a record achievement for the company - it processed the highest monthly volumes since the first unit was installed at Bulyanhulu, Tanzania in 2021. While the increasing volumes are positive news, the biggest win is for the environment, as the adoption of PhotonAssay™ by MSALABS and its clients means that it has eliminated 70 tonnes of lead waste… in just a SINGLE month. Lead exposure is also found to have significant detrimental impacts on health, and is a chronic issue in Sub-Saharan African women and children. We are proud MSALABS is leading the transition away from the use of lead in assaying towards safer, more sustainable assaying, meaning a safer work environment for our people as well as a significantly reduced impact on the environment for our local communities.
