It's strange, I've seen examples of trials where the control arm does better than expected thereby making a trial miss its endpoint, but not sure I've seen this before where in both trials the comparator arm not just outperformed the test arm but performed far better than would have been expected by earlier data. Was a Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) involved in running the trial and does anybody know which one?
