Does anyone think that Basel III has effected the gold price and the US taking it fully on board on the 1st July with continue the gold run?

It's interesting how it has put more importance on gold as a tier 1 asset and pushed paper gold down to tier 3 causing a move from paper gold to real gold. This is happening at the same time the Chinese government is telling their insurance companies to hold 1% gold which is allegedly 8% of all gold output for the year.

Just feel Basel iii is an under discussed topic however would love some more discussions by the people in the know.
