The government of Malaysia will soon be implementing a biometric system for monitoring of foreigners in the country. The biometric system would help stopping illegal entry of foreigners to Malaysia and detect misuse of visit passes. The biometric data of foreigners entering Malaysia will be kept permanently at all entry-exit points for immigration checks, according to Datuk Lee Chee Leong, the Deputy Home Minister.
