Interesting, but not very convincing smoke and mirrors. Look over here at how independent our board is, but don’t look over there at how extravagantly our CEO is paid, or why we entered into this corporation changing deal at top dollar in a very precarious economic climate. Clearly the “many shareholders” who were told of the many advantages of the acquisition didn’t include some pretty big ones on this side of the Pacific. Another example of board being overawed by ambitious managers?
