Acrasia no3, a development appraisal well in the Acrasia oil field was at 1607 metres at 0600hours today and drilling ahead in 8(1/2) inch hole. Surface casing was set at 413 metres. The principal objective of this well is development of the Hutton formation sands. At a projected depth at 1907metres anticipated to be reached in 2 to 3 days. The first primary target, the Birkhead formation. is schedule within the next 24hrs.The well is sited 480 metres west north-west of Acrasia no1, a programmed depth of 2365metres. Primary target includes the Hutton Formation (2145) metres with the secondary target the basal Hutton Formation ( 2045) metres and Poolwanna Formation (2081) metres. The well is designed to drain the primary reserve of Acrasia oil field on increasing producion and cash flow.
