Off topic: Met a few WCE players at two parties, I can't remember we all got so drunk.
One thing that stuck with me is that, those who were academic or of interest, just said it was a game of footy, and it is.
A long time ago now - so much money involved, but some players couldn't understand addition.
I can't remember the chap who got the GF medal on the wing, whilst others were intellectual.
He was briiliant, but could not sell a house.
Some were so drug riddled, they couldn't remember their name, partially due to be requested, and paid very handsomely to turn up at well known parties.
It was very sad.
Love the game now - mostly, it's real.
Mind you, I cannot wait for the State of Origin.
Last year, I met Greg Bird once for a few hours. I didn't know who he was. Super guy and now into being a removalist.
