They cannot afford to run heart or back without serious backing/ partner. Too big. SI mentioned this.
Shorts would also know this . Due to short history, possibly only once not getting it right, (due to our 20% man), I think that is where their motivation is stemming. As tuts has pointed out, some sort of CR in the near future, that they can ( or have even being told) participate in.
