I don't not understand this focus on franking credits.
I understand that it is better to receive a 70c dividend on which franking credits of 30c have been paid that to receive 70c with no franking credits. Clearly.
But the true comparison is whether you would rather 100c with no franking credits or 70c with 30c franking credits
I can't think of a situation where one is preferable over the other? Educate me?
I can see many situations where the 100c is preferable , maybe Super Funds, overseas investors etc.
