    If I wanna buy a Merc worth $80k for $20k because a mate says that's all its worth, but I do my due diligence and ascertain it's worth 70k - 80k, surely I am at least willing to offer $40k ???

    If that gets turned down may be I go $50k in the knowledge I'm still getting a bargain?
