I’ve never said they should have control. It’s common in Joint Ventures for the minority partner to have veto rights or unanimous consent on big decisions such as things like c&m or sale of asset or expansions ect. Basically anything that can have a large impact on their stake.
You would benefits from approaching things with a real world view. Talk to some someone who knows a lot about JV to get an understanding of how it works. Better, email the company and ask for clarification.
