I would say this is a result of Platform 5 test results and tests conducted during the fab process at imec. Management and specifically Ting would not want to throw money on a process that is no longer relevant.
The focus here is Infineon, TSMC(yet to be announced) and imec fabricating a custom 4DS Memory test chip (specifically to support 4DS Memory cells).
