The following table uses the following data and minor assumptions 1. Uses the closing price on the ASX and the daily number reported short sold the total revenue for short sales each day. 2. Sums revenue from sale of shares up to and including 7th May. 3. Shares on loan at start of period as of 23 Jan. 4. Assumes shares on loan as of 7th May as 70,000,000. A reduction of 1,091,542 from latest figure. 5. Assumes that shorts returned were bought on market on the day of return. 6. Couple of assumptions but we need to make those to get a feel for what is going on. 7. See below. Someone has a pain in the guts. Sell them nothing and make them pay I say.
