One of the things I do is program to bit level and in doing so examine bit level structures and how they perform in regards to integration into applications. One of the greatest concerns that I have stated many times is that with area based switching, Crosstalk is a major issue as well as leakage and pulse contamination. The other issue with area based switching is the level of heat produced and the way the cell oxygen switch is formed. This will lead to how the selector is developed and how it will interact with area base cell switching in full array. At the end of the day we are still at cell level engineering and have yet to package it into a multi bit array.
