Yes, statins interrupt the chol synthesis, but that alone isn't proof that statins reduce heart attacks by lowering cholesterol. Statins may reduce the risk of heart attacks, but they do not alter total mortality - so there doesn't seem much point in taking them, especially as many suffer side effects.
There is absolutely no evidence that links high cholesterol levels to increased CHD.
She tried courses in relaxation (Gawler's clinic in Victoria), and found the techniques useful for birthing, but hasn't used them in the last ten or twelve years.
