my optimism is based on the facts as disclosed in the announcements, which currently are:

- iCandy has identified potential improper conduct by an external financial consultant;

- allegations involve misuse of company bank accounts, by the external consultant, for fraudulent GST refunds;

- the company has terminated the consultant's engagement, appointed a corporate governance advisory firm, & Hamilton Locke has been appointed as legal counsel for potential recovery actions;

- there is currently no impact on iCandy's operational viability or solvency;

i'm not forming my opinion on vibes, but rather on the above facts, & soon i expect we'll receive an update along the lines of:

we're back to business as usual, but with improved corporate governance & recovery actions will commence against the external consultant for costs & damages.

so yes, i remain optimistic!!
