I don’t believe that a takeover is or should be on the horizon especially since the internal issues and dramatic re rate in the market. The company was fully valued pre and if a big premium had of been offered on top yes it would have required serious consideration. The valuation has fallen back to earth and even a large premium would only take us back to where we were.
The best outcome now is to put back in a CEO of the calibre of SR and let sound management realise the longer term potential both in growth and profitability. Hopefully the valuation will be restored and those wishing to leave will realise a good profit and those wishing to stay will enjoy the rewards of building a successful Australian and Global medtech company .
For me speculation on being taken out only distracts from the main game and actually when we were fully valued we should have been a potential strategic acquirer of good assets in our space.
