I hope you are on the mend soon Angus.
I should have learn't over the years that the SP would gravitate to around or below the SPP, but so should management, I really like the company and don't mind putting in in things like SPP's but the company must realize that the price will drop to around the issue price surely? I don't suppose it would matter if they had given a 20% discount really, all that would mean is the SP would meet that figure?
I guess there are smarter people than me out there who have worked out that they would get their shares cheaper than the SPP price, but that doesn't help the company one iota when they buy on market does it?
Perhaps if the company ever has another SPP? then maybe the way to go would be to offer options with it i.e. one option for every five shares bought in the SPP etc and one with a reasonable exercise price and converts in say one or two years, it would mean we get something out of the deal, that could either be converted in sale on market or held onto until the SPP rises hopefully and the company gets the money they need as well perhaps?
Not like this last SPP where they were that stingy they didn't even round the number of shares up or return any monies that were not used, it isn't a great deal, but what they did IMHO was just miserable!
Are you listening Silex???
