Under Bidens IRA, OEM's have been building battery and EV manufacturing plants for the last 3 years. They're currently importing 100kt of AAM per year exclusively from China so there is a lot of current demand. The big unknown is what they'll do with AAM tariffs. If they raise them to ~900% the price of AAM and natural flake graphite will increase with ex-china demand. It's China that has been artificially keeping graphite prices low. When they were the only supplier in town the prices were double/triple what they have been for the last 2-3 years
