When you sign up for the feed-in tariff in WA, Synergy agrees to buy the power at 47c per unit nett for 10 years.
I think you pay about 19c per unit at the moment for the A1 tariff which is a flat rate regardless of the time.
Not sure how much the peak/non peak rates are if you go with smartpower which varies depending on what time it is.
I believe in time all meters will be upgraded to be smart meters, not just the people with solar panels, and you will be charged differing rates depending on the time of day and the demands on the system.
