This grant is about funding research into the manufacturing of stem cell derived beta cells, which i doubt we would be involved in (tbh i know nothing about this though).
It does show where some of the interest currently lies in cutting edge diabetes research though - if there is interest in curing it with implantable beta cells and we end up having the leading technology for this, we are in a good position.
