Hello quiet trader, and thanks for making those points.
As a long term follower here, I think Jules is well aware of the reputational importance of having an ‘impeccable’ team, and the sudden resignation of ‘new CFO’ - Richard Simons- just prior to the Whyalla debt being revealed was not a coincidence.
Hopefully acclaimed CFO Peter Bryant joining NRW this week keeps some of the black felt tip markers poised above punctuating any final full stops onto the NRW page although I know that - in regards passing sentence - we now have to see how he settles into the team.
Beyond that I believe - following the Samsung debacle - NRW developed a reputation as a tier one company under Jules and our previous CFO, Andrew Walsh.
And I think Jules likes it that way!(The recent return of the Samsung-stung and unforgiving WAM to the investor roll call speaks to that {but I guess they are out again now and, this time won’t come back}.)
MND has had its problems too, and yes, MAH has seemed to have turned a corner after wandering about in the wilderness for a long time.
Hopefully Friday’s news is good.
If not, I tend to agree with @kimho that the market priced ‘worst case’ in, and then the price was further scourged by the Trunp tariff chaos.
- So if it’s negative news and there’s a share price whiplash I will be looking for opportunities. For me the ‘Gupta problem’ will have reinforced to Jules his post-Samsung credo of only dealing ‘face to face’ with ‘real’ clients.
And I hope he retains the mojo to take NRW out of yet another morass, and grasp the technical price heights on the TA chart here that seemed to be in reach a few months back.
cheers
