Yes the market reaction seems a bit of a head scratcher. Fischer seems to be an excellent choice on paper with extensive management experience in the industry including at Lion and Diageo.
But TWE has been in a downtrend and facing (likely at least partly structural) headwinds for a while so there may be some itchy trigger fingers at play. Once stops start to get hit the selling can take on a life of its own.
