Highly significant achievement as mentioned by PoS, and regardless of the undislcosed milestone achieved, Roche have now independetly validated the cell penetration activities of the peptides delivered by Phylogica, a very hard area to achieve success in across the wider market.
Roche are now in discussions to expand the collaboration and to include in-vivo studies for identification of a specific target another area that has been historically very hard to gain access to with current drugs having very limited application.
While the information may not come across as significant to traders - it will be a message being sent to the pharmaceutical companies that the first collaboration with a major has been completed & validated succesfully...
One thing i do find frustrating though is that the actual milestones achieved remain withheld & what has been achieved in terms of discovery remains under wraps - but i guess that is the highly sensetive nature of the industry. Maybe more so though with Roche as they signed a differing partnership than both AstraZeneca & Pfizer - and as stated previously by management their preffered contract is the one used with the other two companies. I bet it hurts managments head being able to say alot less than they would really like to... lol
