Im thinking that may be on the conservative side if anything.

As more and more people start to understand the predicament that the US economy is in, the trend will accelerate.

Bonds (US treasuries) will be sold off, causing interest on that debt to rise. The US Gov will need to find the money to pay the ever increasing interest bill.(QE 3,4,5...)
Trashing the usd in the process.
This is the same situation as other countries that had unmanageable debt situations, e.g Argentina, Zimbabwe, Germany post WW1 etc.
