There is a house in a suburb that has great potential but is waiting on permits to build an apartment block and realise that potential.
Meanwhile in the same street are existing apartments that are owned by ASX listed entities that have done well with the property price increases and making great rental returns, and so their market price has done well with many happy investors.
Investors visit these great investment properties regularly to watch and monitor their investments, as some managed to get on the bandwagon and others want to jump on the ride. People visiting discuss the investments.
Two, on the way to visiting their great investments go past an old house that they know hasn’t got its ducks in line and has fallen behind the other great investments.
They pass this house for years and each time decide to spray paint the front of the house with slogans such as ‘Yawn’ etc.
Perhaps they paint the house because it’s on the way to visiting the other great places.
