I understand your points but having read many volumes of Supreme court decisions I would not be throwing my hat into any ring unless I had more information about the actual arguments each will present. Since that is not likely to happen I will reserve my judgement. I do believe RIM requires funding if it is to continue and Billis did provide funding and from what I have read the majority came from him or his entities. Some of that money went directly to Rimfire. But you are correct in that the sticking point will be whether the court considers there was a change of ownership at GPR and if so whether RIM was able to revoke the agreement. Hypothetically, there could be an argument that RIM knew where the money was coming from when it accepted it and there may be some case law cited that supports Billis. Likewise RIM's legal team will come armed with its own case law. I am no supporter of Billis in any way. Giovinazzo was a good mate and knew his past well and there has been a falling out. I feel for the investors caught up in the middle of all this but am a little tired of all the trash talking so I don't follow the discussions regularly now. Good luck with it all.
