What news would you be expecting?
I expect the court to update it's records noting the applicant has submitted it's arguments, nothing more.
Nothing will be made public just yet.
What is does now is put the Government in a position where it needs clearance to defend the case. This will rely on the advice from Clayton Utz and the Attorney General under model litigant policy. If they deem the case unwinnable, like they did with Scomo, mediation/ADR will commence very soon. IMO we are nearly there.
