Gold is not often associated with sufficient sulphide minerals to form a conductor when surveyed by EM. There are a few exceptions, like Bellevue or Odyssey which have sulphide-rich systems. Here around St ives, you also have to deal with a lot of sediment sulphides which create their own EM anomalies....or the komatiite nickel anomalies.
