To support our growth, we are looking for a Junior Microelectronics Design Engineer to join our team in Grenoble. In this role, you will work alongside senior engineers to support the design, simulation, and characterization of next-generation RRAM memories, contributing to the development of innovative memory solutions for future high-performance, low-power applications. You will start by participating in the validation and characterization of existing circuits and architectures before contributing to the design and optimization of peripheral and analog circuits that play a critical role in the reliability of read/write operations and in improving the speed, accuracy, and energy efficiency of RRAM memories.
Main missions
- Memory design
- Perform circuit-level simulations (e.g., SPICE) to validate the functionality, performance, reliability, and sensitivity to variations of memory circuits.
- Work closely with the layout design team to ensure the physical implementation meets performance targets, manufacturability, and foundry design rules.
- Evaluate and optimize performance, power, area (PPA), and leakage under different memory use cases and operating conditions.
- Contribute to the design and development of peripheral and analog circuits—such as sense amplifiers, write drivers, voltage reference generators, and timing circuits—that are critical to the accurate and efficient operation of RRAM arrays.
- Assist with tape-out preparation, including design approval checks and documentation.
- Contribute to post-silicon validation, debugging, and characterization of manufactured memory chips.
- Work with senior engineers to explore and evaluate new memory architectures.
- Project Collaboration and Innovation
o Interface with Process Integration, Device Engineering, Reliability and Digital Design teams to optimize circuit design and RRAM device behavior.
o Participate in design reviews, failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
o Document design methodologies, simulation results, test plans and best practices for knowledge sharing and intellectual property reuse.
o Proactively seek mentorship and hands-on learning opportunities to deepen expertise in RRAM technology and semiconductor design flows.
o Take the initiative to identify and make improvements to design flows, automation and cross-functional communication.
Conditions: full-time permanent contract (Syntec agreement), RTT, advantageous health insurance, meal vouchers €11.80/day, teleworking possible 2 days/week
