Unfortunately, the bigger picture is that all/the majority of Australian whisky and spirit producers are suffering from the economic malaise that is affecting everyone.

Many, including Lark, have either wound back production significantly, or ceased altogether at this time, as they can't sell what they have.

Cost of living pressures and the basics of life are over-riding the 'want' for a high end, discretionary product.

People are still buying whisky, but are electing to go with less expensive options in the main.

The strategy to grow into Duty Free and overseas markets is a long term play, and I expect that we will see more expenditure over time to fully achieve the marketing strategy, plus the costs of establishing the new distillery at Shene/Pontville currently underway to take into account.

I believe the company will do well when economic conditions improve, but my crystal ball is fairly murky about when that may be.

I continue to watch for an entry point that provides exceptional value for the long term, after selling my holdings some years ago.
