Silicon Quantum Computing (SQC) has demonstrated world-leading accuracy in operating Grover's algorithm without error correction, showcasing the strategic advantage of the company's high-quality qubits and precision manufacturing.
SQC's Founder and CEO, Michelle Simmons, said, "The world-leading performance of our quantum processor validates our quality-first approach. In the race to deliver commercially viable quantum computers, what ultimately matters is not how many qubits you have but the quality of your qubits. Throwing thousands or millions of low-quality qubits at the problem is not going to work."

SQC's quantum processor achieved up to 98.9% accuracy of the theoretical maximum of Grover's algorithm, performing
considerably higher than any other quantum system to date. This accomplishment is detailed in the journal Nature Nanotechnology, highlighting SQC's competitive position in developing commercial-scale quantum computers.
SQC Chair and former ARM CEO Simon Segars, stated, "This unparalleled achievement is a significant milestone on SQC's technology journey. With the highest quality qubits and atomic-scale manufacturing, SQC has multiple strategic advantages that position it as a leader in the race to develop quantum computers that can deliver reliable, real-world, commercial solutions."
High error rates are often a significant challenge in creating quantum computers. SQC addresses this by using qubits naturally formed from phosphorus atoms and precision-engineered in pure silicon. These qubits demonstrate longer coherence times, higher stabilities, and lower error rates, providing a pathway to a high-performing, efficient, and economical quantum computer.
The company utilises ultra-high precision proprietary manufacturing to construct silicon chips with features at the atomic scale. This in-house process allows SQC to rapidly iterate chip designs within 1-2 weeks, offering a significant advantage over other quantum computing companies that rely on third-party suppliers.
