Thanks for that Def
I discarded the possibly of CATH having mining interests per say, but focused on the fact they are primarily a chemical/battery technology company.
If they were interested in Mining Manono they would be partnered with whoever was capable to do that ie RIO or others.
My main argument was that Kobold are not currently aligned with a battery technology entity that I know of which would mean they would need this for a hydroxide plant.
This idea that Kobold would suddenly be a lithium hydroxide producer is fanciful, and they would need a significant partner to assist with this imho.
CATL are already involved and may prove difficult to flick off given they have belatedly offered assistance. It is reasonable to conclude that CATH may continue to play a role in the development as it stands since hydroxide was the end goal due to the tyranny of distance.
I might be totally off tap.
I believe a big part of this is what will happen to Zingin? At the very least they ow us significant money and also they stole all the infrastructure and IP. I would expect the buyer would want it back or pay dearly. I doubt if anyone would be in the mood to accept that ZINGIN can carry on with no penalty.
It would be nice to know what is happening at the ZINGIN site and whether all work has stopped.
Does anyone know?
