yeah don't know about the break down of the mill...where was that reported?
not sure about glencore fully shutting down...mt isa copper mines yes, mt isa smelter to be confirmed...https://www.glencore.com.au/media-and-insights/news/community-update-on-mount-isa-mines......so i'm thinking that the govt will need to step in...https://www.northwestweekly.com.au/life-still-left-in-mount-isa-copper-smelter-glencore-confirms-2025-02-26
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-08-29/closure-glencore-mount-isa-copper-mine-economic-impact/104273826...they talk about Cloncurry region replacing the ore from the uneconomical Mt Isa mine...lots of small/mid players in the region...consolidation could create economies of scale.
same glencore that chipped in $5M in the recap for 9.9% of the issuance? i know it's just a piss in the ocean in terms of glencore's size, but the region's success = glencore's success.
lot's of moving parts right now, but with some further clarity for the region and some positive drill hits, risk is to the upside, notwithstanding those in charge do the right thing and we don't get a repeat of TNC V1.
As of now it's priced as a cashed up exploration play and you get a free attaching option for production, that's how I see it.
cheers gosh
