Hi @Bullelk thanks for the compliment and I agree with your assessment re gold and critical minerals; I also appreciate your contributions here.I’ll check that video. I am aware our opportunities are affected by micro and macro factors and commodity cycles.
I’ve not been investing in gold even though I noticed on hotcopper that people tend to stick to some commodity or sector they like or have probably passion on - biotech, gold, battery tech etc. others are more about seagull type jumping from one to another based on news of the day.
The appeal of wa8 to me is also shaped by experience of ups and downs. There’s a few that got away when I sold too soon (wa1,chn,adt) for various reasons. But one account on battery metal made three fig baggers. To be able to get such one has to stick it out like a gecko and both the project and team must be right. Very few combinations found on asx. I cite my other former sb hold, I was planning to hold it for until production but the landscape has changed from promising to something I detest. I cannot even watch any video preso of that company since December when two rug pulls became just the start of a trend that seemed not to end. So I am going to be flexible also here. I don’t know much about the board except based on what I read here. What I do know is that a director previously a broker or connected closely to brokers id be wary of and will closely watch.
So the draw cards here now that made me put in as much as I can are as outlined by Amanda- the recent achievements and prj potential
-msz looks like well endowed throughout and consistent
-the sb opportunity was a clincher for me as I’ve not been much into gold. The scarcity where many gold deposits with sb content don’t actually have much sb, just gold, costerfield, bc8 are classic. They’re like 90% gold even if they have sb, so that makes wa8 endowment very different. A bit like Hillgrove content wise (dunno about geology). I just assess based on the simple fact there’s sb footprints over a large area of the project.
-watching some of these videos, overall, wa8 has enormous potential. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been wrong as I tend to easily believe lol. For example, mag and Dre I’ve held those at different times there seems to be always a promise of gold at the end of the rainbow that keeps holders continue dreaming the dream. The team frugal and putting most money on the grounds but sometimes it just doesn’t turn out well. I also have the belief a team like that will eventually find the goods but no one knows when, is it in 10,20,30 years? For Tim Goyder though he’s been wealthy, he didn’t get his break until he’s in his 70’s in Ltr, Chn, and potentially now mi6. Now enter wa8, it’s low capped, with no board member with salary of an asx300 (at least for now lol but if they inflate it quickly it’s a reflection of inflating an ego for me), with open pit sb mre already and a lot of potential near and medium and long term. So it suits what I’m looking for. Due to the rise in gold, nearly every gold explorer that showed some or good success have their accomplishments reflected in their valuation. Like w buffet our job as new holders of wa8 is to find one that still under valued and under explored - the next one. Hence I’m here
