Yep they didn't read it properly and were too keen to get on with the usual Mally waffle ......
I highly doubt that the Government wants to cream profits from public companies - there would be no incentive for RNU to invest and produce. Perhaps they take it on "consignment" and pay the "floor price" (whatever that is eg. median OPEX + 10%) up front then, once sold pass the profits back to said company or even profit share (??)
There are probably many ways to do this and people should make submissions to the Government themselves - the MCA wants to attack environmental regulations / industrial relation laws to make AU a cheaper place for mining (??). I actually thought this was about "value" adding / vertical integration - not just putting more holes in the ground.
