Electricity costs rose faster than anticipated in some parts of the country over the past two months as the national energy regulator confirmed some households would face power bill increases of almost 10 per cent.
The Australian Energy Regulator, which sets safety net electricity prices known as a default market offer as part of its annual review, blamed the rises on increases to the cost of producing energy, which varies based on how power is generated in different parts of the country.
If you're dumb enough to only produce electricity with wind and solar then
"blamed the rises on increases to the cost of producing energy, which varies based on how power is generated in different parts of the country"
Spain takes the first prize for stupidity, Spanish Government chops down 100,000 olive trees on fertile land, destroy the livelihood for 100 farmers and put solar panels that only produce power a few hours/day.
