Footmax you can find any number of “experts” who can say something is impossible, that’s easy, however that doesn’t mean that that is the case, far from it. What you are forgetting is the powerful force of patriotism and trust. Americans have always been tremendously proud of their own products made in America, and people will also gravitate to products that they know work and made with quality first and foremost. An example of trust is, some years ago I bought an aircraft VHF radio for a helicopter project of mine, however I never installed it in the chopper, and as it was still in the box and lying in the house doing nothing I decided to sell it on eBay for a fairly high price. Surprisingly I got an immediate response, the reason was the man had bought two cheaper radios before and they both failed, he said as soon as he saw American made on the box he new he could trust that it was well made.
