On an even playing field, supply/demand works.. but this is not an even playing field the chinese are not going to give up their stranglehold easily ...They will certainly not state that there inventorys are running low and certainly not let the west in to too much information, they have been getting away with this story for a very long time ..
in my view, the whole shebang is a fix... I think the chinese inventory is very low as it was when the big spod price hit. The likes of Bezos et al. are getting involved. They can see it ( follow the money)
Look at the sales of EV's ,and Bess, if there is an oversupply of lithium, where apparently has this oversupply come from.
we have mines going in to C&M so they are not producing , obviously..
CATL gave it away with their forward projections from this year on , the lithium will not be available and i think its on a knife edge now..
No new mines have come on line and probably won't for the next few years, lepo mines are like flogging a dead donkey .. garbage product but the chinese would have us all believe they have found more lithium.. of course they do they have to surpress the price.
i have my analysis that i check on daily, production targets, sales, supply etc etc
And im not seeing what China is selling.. IMO
hence why i have increased my holding...
