ALCp, My understanding is that Auto Car-T's are not able to be used in re-lapsed patients due to the time involved modifying the patients own T-cells. Sadly relapsed patients do not have the time to wait for this process
Re-lapsed patients are the potential market for off the shelf Allo Car-T's, which is why IMU is going down this path. FDA has granted 'Fast track designation' for azer-cel due to it showing potential to meet an unmet medical need.
In time the Allo Car-T could replace Auto Car-T's. azer-cel needs to prove itself before having any chance of becoming the 'standard of care'.
