    Only two?

    Why stop there?

Of course they should pay them the same rate that US privates get:

    US$1467 per month.

While the rate of pay has improved somewhat, it is still below the poverty line and that finds many people in the US Army getting welfare and foodstamps for their families.

When I went on AD my basic pay as a 2nd Lt in the USA was less than US1000 a month. Thirty years later and they are only getting $2784 a month.

Peanuts for the job and its responsibilities.

ADF personel are lucky in that respect it looks like they get at least 50% more base pay than the US equivalent rank, get a Service rate, and all sorts of other pay and benefits that the US military personnel don't get.
